How quickly does USPS update their Tracking for packages?

I know with UPS if I check a tracking number 10 seconds after I sign for it, it says delivered. Is USPS the same way? It was sent by USPS Express
 
I don't know what their tracking is like, but if it's Delivery Confirmation - "Information, if available, is updated every evening."
 
yea its not DC.. its the regular tracking for express packages. I know the DC one takes forever, I was hoping the express shipping had an quicker tracking system as well.
 
Delivery confirmation is just that, confirmation of delivery. It is NOT a tracking number.

Edit, I've seen their results with express is just as bad.
 
ah, just checked it again looks like they just scanned it in at my town's post office, as of 8:35am looks like they are only about 2 or 3 hours behind in their tracking for Express shipments. hopefully they will get here soon
