When my dog was alive I trained her to back instantly when ever I said "who's there" Even if I whispered it she would bark in a split second. She was a Border Collie German Shepard mix and her bark was extremely sharp and loud. I miss her. :( She died about 2 years ago but around 16 years ago I recorded her bark and play it every once in a while.

We have two rat dogs...getting them to bark is easy...getting them to STOP barking is the tough part...:D-+

My wife has them both trained to "Speak" on command, both by saying the word, or by hand gestures.

My dog barks rarely and randomly. One time the UPS truck pulled up and it woke her up so she went into protection mode and kept barking and looking at the door, even after he left. The other time she'll bark is when I leave her at home :(, though, I think I solved that problem so it's just whining now.

Does your dog respond the same?

Yes, that is how I taught him how to bark on command.
