How Quickly Can One Get an Auto Loan?

i don't think this process takes long, does it?

Approval - anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes depends if they have to verify any info.
Whole process - about 1 to 2 hours depending on the car, dealership, private party, etc.

I've never bought a lease and am not sure if it's considered a standard used auto loan? I'd ask the dealership first then ask local CU's as well.

I got a quote from a local CU of 5.25%

doesn't sound that bad. i heard that you pay mostly interest in the first year of an auto loan. is this true?

i plan on taking a 48 month loan, but will most likely sell my car before making all the payments.

Go to Bankrate.com. Do a search of today's auto loan rates, in my case Capitol One was the lowest. I followed the link to Capitol One's site, filled out a one page application, and a human called me within 15 minutes to tell me they will overnight a check via Fedex.
