How quick is Newegg?

I hear all the time how Newegg is so fast.

I bought some stuff last night and checked the 3 dollar rush processing and 1 day delivery and it still hasn't shipped yet.

If you order before 12:00 PM PDT (West Coast time) it will ship the same day.

If you place an order after 12:00 PM PDT, it will ship the next business day.

1 day delivery counts as of the shipping date.

It will show as shipped in your e-mail inbox, or your Newegg account some time after 5:00PM today.

It will (should) definitely be delivered as promised/ordered.

Ok. I just logged in and according to the website, the merchandise shipped.

But I didn't receive an email.

BTW, it's being shipped 20 miles away from their website. So it should be here any minute now.

He lives in the interwebs. That's pretty cool if you ask me.
I'm pretty sure he should be standing outside. Sometimes the shipping is soo fast, they drive right by ya!

I dunno mate, last night means they can only process it this very morning. Living 20 miles away from the website, whatever that means, means jack the way I look at it. Their depots or shipping places could be 500 miles away or could actually be in your cellar.

In Holland, which isn't that big, I can order before 4pm, then they process the order and have it picked up by the shipping company. The shipping company throws it in storage in a central delivery point, like 150km away from me. From there it goes to a nearby distribution point, from which it is then loaded into a smaller truck and shipped to my house, and I have it anywhere from 1pm to 4pm or so. You gotta get lucky to order in the evening and have it the next day.

I've noticed sometimes they don't send the email until the day after they shipped it. Other times they email you right when they ship it. Varies a little.

Also, you may live only 20min from their site, but they may have shipped from a different warehouse (if the one near you didn't have the item in stock, for instance). Also, 20 min from their place doesn't take into account that it has to go from their warehouse to the UPS/fedex center, sit in line for awhile, get sorted, put on the right truck, then over to your place. Got to take UPS/fedex routine into account here 😉

It means if I don't get it today, I'm busting through some doors.

Hopefully they didn`t reroute your order through Kansas City and then over night it through the Anchorage Alaska terminal and then same day air it through the newEgg distribution point in San Diego....

Good luck!!

I would say.

Option 1. Email NewEgg and ask for clarification, and or refund of the fast process fee if warranted.

Option 2. If you need a part so desperately buy from a local store.

I have ordered a TON of stuff from Newegg over the years. Generally if i order before noon it will ship the next day and be here within 2-3 business days after that. If you ordered it after NOON which you said you did, even if you clicked rushed processing it still would NOT ship until Tuesday afternoon which would mean with 1 day shipping you should get it on Wednesday. If you had ordered it before NOON on Monday and did rush processing it would have shipped Monday and you would have gotten it on Tuesday. Be patient man its not like they can just stick it in a timewarp and have it on your doorstep.

I suggest you switch to decaf and relax.
You probably bought from Newegg, first and formost on price, not shipping speed. If you really wanted SUPER FAST shipping, you wouldn't have gone to Newegg.

I was tired yesterday, so I didn't go bust through their doors. Lucky them.

The status says that it'll arrive today. Last chance for them.

OP should learn some patience - it will serve him well in life. The Earth travels around the Sun, not the OP...

.bh.

I think standard practice is a truck takes the package to the nearest location owned by the shipper (Distribution Center), then they take it off the truck and put it on another truck to ship to your address. It depends what warehouse the actual goods are stored in. Sometimes you order 2 things and they are in different warehouses.

Interesting.

Your fears turned to be unnecessary since it got in time.

So instead of apologizing that you doubted NewEgg, you post yet another threat.
