I admit that my brain works on 1 thing at a time. 2 or more...someone's getting the short stick and it's not ATOT.
 
Completely variable. I dispatch for a sameday courier company. On busy days its balls to the wall all day and im dispatching several calls a min with zero spare time. Some slow days it may go up to half a hour between calls sometimes, you just never know.
 
I think I burned myself out about a month ago finishing some testing that got way behind due to design and equipment problems, so I'm just taking it easy now. Been leaving work around 4:40p.m. a few days a week, although I come in around 7:15a.m. (and don't start working until 8a.m. after I've finished reading the news and waking up, but it's not like anybody would ever know.) Not feeling productive at all, but the work is still getting done. When I'm really into my work I can spend all day doing it without any breaks.

The absolute worst is when I'm finally able to focus for more than 15 minutes and I'm bothered by dumb questions by the same people who can't seem to just send an e-mail. Certain management pushes the "go talk to somebody rather than send an e-mail" mentality. Always takes a few minutes to regain my composure, but sometimes they walk back with a "oh, I forgot, I have another question..." That's when I feel like smashing my head into my desk would be better than giving them an answer.

After nine years, it might be time for a change of pace. I think I'm ripe for a management position.
 
WAAAYYYYYYYY back when I had work, I was always very busy and super productive.

But now I'm just an unemployable bum. And I hate myself too.

Damn, I have been thinking about leaving my field almost entirely (at least keeping it as a hobby because it is interesting) and exploring my own talents. Don't really have the motivation, though, and I have decent benefits where I work.

Motivation is a problem. I don't have any.

Seriously, look at the reviews. Very interesting. Some CEO was pissed that he couldn't do the 3d puzzles. "I'm Mr. muckety muck...." Tough shit, your brain doesn't work that way.😀

$800 plus 2 nights in a hotel if you're local enough. Atlanta for us.
