how potent are microbrews?

at restaurant that sells microbrews for $2.25 for a 20oz.

today i tried their heffenweizer
2 of them and i know im not driving for an hr.

and this comes from a guy that drinks a pitcher of guiness and not even get a buzz

depends...i think a hefe is usually under 5.5%, but it could be anything up to the legal limit in the state. ive had some 9%+ micros

I make a Russian Imperial that comes in at 11% abv. BTW OP, you know that Guinness is only about 4.3% yeah?

Yeah, most hefes won't be much stronger than 5-6%?

I'm pretty sure there's a Hefe micro from just north of Vancouver that's like 9 or 9.5%.

edit: It's actually 7.7%
