Wish I could remember the name of the games we played on my Uncle's Apple IIc. Amazon trail was one. There was another one that you took off from an aircraft carrier and bombed the Japanese villages and had dogfights....all in 2-D. Really creative.

Wings of Fury? I love that game.... Just power up an emulator and you can play all the games you ever wanted to play for apple...

About 8 I think... whenever the very first black school-issue AppleII's came out, which I think was '79. My dad was a school teacher and he negotiated the contract for the district to buy the machines at ~$1,200 each, and then always made sure we had one in the house. I remember the old text-based role playing games, pre-Oregon Trail... :D
My older brother bought an Atari 800 a year or so later. That was the bomb, 256 colors, 48K RAM, cartridge and cassette tape drive, great games.

I don't count Apples. Our first family computer was an old Compaq 286 laptop back in 1992 that we used for typing up grociery lists and E-mailing other parts of the family on Prodigy. :)

Never heard of Amazon trail we played Oregon Trail. And it was the apple IIE as well and it had that funky green text crap. I hated it.
