or other: Class C (Major) services

Includes endodontic services such as root canals, periodontal services such as gingivectomy, major restorative services such as crowns, oral surgery, bridges and prosthodontic services such as complete dentures.

results: age doesn't seem to have as much effect on dental needs as one might think.

A root canal is one of the few oral surgeries I have not yet had. I've had nearly a dozen extractions, I've had skin grafts, I've had that little chain to pull down a tooth that refuses to descend, I've had three teeth broken in half that required rebuilding, 5 years of braces and maybe 20 fillings, and I'm due to get my widom teeth out approximately 7 years ago (I really should go in for that consultation). My teeth are not my strong suit...

Virtually all my oral surgery, dentistry and orthodontia work was done when I was still a dependant covered by my mother's health plan (she's a public school teacher). I haven't had to use my current dental plan yet but it's offered free through my work (booyah).

I actually brush and floss my teeth, so I really hope I don't ever need one.

I think I was 22 when I had my root canal. My tooth cracked after eating some ice cream.

Never had anything done and I've reached 32.

Wisdom teeth grew in with no complications.

Dentist says I am blessed with hard enamel.
Only cleanings. Nothing more.

I'm 33 years old, and I've never had one.

Girls I've dated had them when they were 26 and another had one when she was 29.

I'm not sure that age is relevant to root canals.

Can't remember the first one, maybe 35.

But, I had one a week ago that cost $1100

That is pretty good work if you can get it, $1100 for 40 minutes of work for two people.

Had one two days ago,970.00. First one at 42 and just happened to be under a crown I got two weeks ago. I am one of the rarest of dumbasses: I actually enjoy dental work. I have had 16 crowns, all in the front of my mouth, to the tune of 32k worth of work (insurance covered half, and I had to do the rest) . My dentist was kind of shocked one time when I gave him the go-ahead to do six crowns at once. Sat in the chair for 6 hours for that one. The dentist actually relaxes me and if I had to get 5 more root canals tomorrow, I would not even hesitate. My wife hates me for this.

Peace

Other than having teeth pulled and Wisdom teeth taken out, I've never had any other surgery type things... And I hope I never do.

I haven't even had an actual cavity yet. I have a very tiny filling due to a defect in a back tooth but thats it.
