I think mine is falling out. I see some on my black towels every once in a while after I shower and dry my hair. :(

hair does fall out occasionally, it doesn't mean you are getting male pattern baldness :p

I can tell it's thinner.
I don't think I am balding, just thinning.

About 3 years ago, my hair started receeding. I don't notice I'm losing it - but when I rub gel in my hair I do have to keep picking hairs off my hands.

I am 20 and I can see signs of a receding hair line.
My dad has a bald spot but he is almost 50 and had lots of hair when he was my age

I was told that you get your "hair" from your Mother's Dad. So that's how you can tell whether or not you'll be bald.

edit: I noticed at age 21 that I was staring to thin. Really sucks too because I have dark brown/black hair and if I comb it straight forward after a shower I can see my scalp underneath. :(

I think my hair is actually getting thicker as I age. I will probably go grey by 40 though.

Well he is 72 and still has some hair. But he is bald in some places.
But I look exactly like my grandfather. You put a picture of him at 24 and me at 24 together and it's kinda weird.

My hairline receded a bit when I was about 20. Of course I was panicked and depressed about it at the time because I thought I'd be totally bald up there by the end of the year, but it never got much worse. At 44, I'm a bit thinner up top than I wish I was, but I have too much other stuff to be thankful for to let it bother me much. It's part of being a man.

edit: What's really annoying is that my chest and legs are getting hairier, as my head thins. It's like it's migrating.:frown:

I think that's more hair breakage than pulling out. And your hair is already short.

I'm 18 and everytime I take a shower I have clumps of hair come off when I dry my head... but there's plenty more where that came from. I'm not going bald or anything, your body just naturally cycles through alot of hair.

Actually it's kinda long on the top. But short on the sides.

Yes they look cute in my bathroom. I have a black, white and silver thing going with my whole apartment. Or I try to anyway.

26-ish. Waffled for a year about whether I was "really" thinning and receeding or if it was just normal before I decided it was time for Propecia. I have very thick hair now and it is not receeding. Only side effect that I'm aware of is that it changed the consistency of my ejaculate. And if that wasn't too much information, I don't know what is. I'm fatter and not as horny as I used to be, but my diet sucks and I'm older, too, so I can't correlate that.Given your own personal neuroses, I'd suspect that your biggest concern would be weight gain. Personally I'd recommend trying it for 6 months. I saw results in 3.

Stopped using gel and started using a slightly more expensive shampoo (the cheaper paul mitchell stuff). 30 now and have a slight receeding hairline (about 1/2").

Well hey I don't have sex anyway so who cares. Might as well try it. How much does that run you? I am guessing you have to continually use it.

I'm 37, and am not losing my hair at all. It is, however, just starting to turn gray in a couple of places.

I'm 33 and it's all there. In fact my dad has more hair on his head than I do, so I don't think it'll ever be a problem.
