Well I was 19 and curious, so I got some money and went down to the local "store". There was a nice girl there that showed me "the way."

about 17 or so, I've built about 15 systems since then. and the one thing I've learned from all my experiences is, STICK WITH AN INTEL CHIPSET. AMD and VIA make crap chipsets

My first one was a 486dx/66. It was great. I have built between 25-30 computers, and I've learned that AMD and VIA chipsets work fine, even with win2k and a zip drive and sblive and so on.

Yes, i do agree, stick with Intel, no wait, they have had their problems too with the 1.13 and the 820/840 MTH, so you better stick with SUN or ALPHA..

Thats odd... starting at age 15, I have built 1 Intel system and 5 AMD systems, and helped build about another 6 AMD systems. I have never had a problem with getting the AMD systems to run well.
