How old to Get a Hotel Room

You just have to do a lot of looking. That's what I did back then, just went around to every motel and asked. It seemed 20% of hotels in Michigan have been 18 years or older, and I had better luck with Ramadas. But since you're 17 it looks like you're screwed. Wait a year.

Yep. On a few occasions where cash was very short, I'd have my girlfriend sit in the car while I rented the room. Then I'd go see where the room was, find the nearest access door, and just have her come in through that (most of the time you'll get 2 keys). If you just have someone old enough to get the key to the room, you're pretty much home free.

I was refused ONE time (I was 17) due to my age.. I told the clerk that if he doesnt rent me a room that my friends and I would bring all our sh!t in the lobby and sleep on the couch & floor. :) He gave us a room.

How old do you look? If you dress decently, look older, and act mature like you've rented rooms before they won't even check your ID.
