I don't use my computer anymore. I use my Thinkpad for everything now. Nice laptop.

My rig sitting at home is:

Thunderbird 1Ghz
20Gb HD 7200rpm (WD I think)
SiS Xabre 64Mb
no RAM
SB Audigy

Yeah, that's about it.

Dell Inspiron 700m is 1 yr 4 months old and still going strong.

Remember the infamous $750 off $1499 coupons? Man I wish those would return.

I'd like to upgrade to the HP DV2000T but:
  • I absolutely despise the slick/glossy touch pad area, WTF were they thinking?
  • Core 2 still costs $$$
  • Waiting for a hot coupon + rebate + free shipping offer

If my 700m had another USB port and internal WiFi, I think I'd be happy.

Built it last last November. I think it is fairly fast enough for me and plays the games I play. But I think I may need a new monitor as my 19" CRT, which has been excellent, needs to be possibly replaced by a 20" widescreen. I hope to stay with this system for a while.

Of course not, but I'm sure he will be flashing his now extended e-penis to everybody. Creating a thread that last a long time with many posts usually equates to a larger e-penis.

I built my rig 1 year ago approximately. I think I started in early August after I got back from a trip to LA but I was missing a lot of things like a good monitor and a 7800Gt. My 7800GT came on my bday I remember (Aug 25th), and that was when my build was complete.

Specs were 3700+ San Diego @ 2.6ghz, 1gb OCZ VX 2-2-2-5, Seagate 7200.8 250gb, BFG 7800GT OC, Viewsonic VP191b, blah blah

Upgraded to Opteron 170 and 2GB of RAM and a Raptor in spring/early summer. Ready to upgrade with another 2x 7200.10s very soon. Seagate replaced my 7200.8 for a 7200.9 in June (RMA) and I got an eVGA instead of a BFG (sold) thru ebay.

ehh ... my PC is good enough for me ...
Athlon 64 x2 4200+ (939)
2GB of PC3200 DDR
320GB Seagate 7200.10 as well as several smaller/older drives
ATI Radeon X1800XT
Acer 24inch LCD
Envision 19inch CRT
IBM Model M Keyboard, keys re-ordered to Dvorak Layout
Old Microsoft Optical Mouse that the little plastic feet have fallen off of

I was using a socket 754 abit board with an a64 3000+ and 1GB of ram, however, I upgraded when the Conroe CPU's came out and the X2's took a price dive. Also, my Geforce 6800 died, and my 9700 pro was not allowing me to play at high resolutions, so I was really ready for an upgrade anyhow.

Athlon XP 3200+ and Nvidia 6800 GT.

74GB Raptor

1 GB RAM

I built the system in 2003 but upgraded the video card and HD about 1.5 years ago.

I'm looking to build a s939 system (for my media center) soon though since I have a Shuttle PC just sitting there with no processor or RAM.

Mine is definitely old since officially outgrowing my gaming stage awhile back. For a while, I was upgrading every 6-12 months but it's been a long time now. I find myself using my new laptop so much these days, that I rarely even turn on my desktop so I'm not too worried about it. It's plenty fast enough for what I do with these days.

ASRock Mobo
Athlon XP 2400+
1GB PC2700
80GB 7200 HDD
ATI Radeon 9800XT
17" LCD
