R9 290 for about 2 years. I dodged a bullet. Had originally bought a gtx780 but it was an overclocking dud. I returned it right as 290's came back in stock.

The comparisons between the two cards make me feel lucky every day.

Currently, Intel 530 graphics. I had a Sapphire 7970ghz vapor X for 4+ years. Gave that to my brother since his GPU was crap.

Need to upgrade, I want a 1440p monitor too. Do I want a stop gap rx480 or a 1070 to keep longer? Really wish I could have got in on the $299 fury nitro oc deal.

Now I'm just stuck trying to decide.

Launch day 7970 and it just keeps getting better! 🙂

4 years and counting. Added a 280x for since CF goodness at 280x launch.

I chose 2 years. I have an HD 7970 (non-Ghz) that was clearly made four years ago, but which I got for $150 on EBay after the bitcoin price plunge put hundreds of the used cards up for sale.

Never had a problem with it despite it being a used mining card (I believe that it may have been an RMA replacement card that was put up on EBay). It is a Sapphire Dual-X model. The price to performance for this longevity has been great.

Three years already with my Sapphire HD 7850 (OC) 2GB.

No complains. Will be replaced with a Sapphire RX 470 8GB.

Sapphire Fury Nitro OC+ I bought about a week ago. It's great for 3440x1440 ultrawide and it's the quietest gaming card I've ever owned, including my AIO CLC cooled 290.

It was also as low as $275 brand new from Newegg four days ago...

Man I've been trying to get one to go alone with a monitor I'm trying to buy. During the week I can't keep track of stock at work because we have an open office architecture and it sucks. That card seems like it would be great for 1440p as along as the drivers will continue to support it.

This describes me to a T. Although my 7770 was to replace an x1950xt.
I want a 4gb 480 nitro but I doubt I'll get one even if I spam refresh at midnight on launch day.

I have to buy a monitor as well so not sure about which version. Will get 4GB version for 1920x1080 or 8GB for 2560x1080

It's hard to stay patient at this stage; when the card I've been waiting for, for over 1.5 years, is already in the market for 3+ weeks.

Also, will there be another Nitro only version as well or is this it, i.e Nitro+

rx480 not very long 🙂 upgraded from a gtx780 which I had for 2-3 years.

Got it mainly for FreeSync.. but my 780 was starting to give me issues.. really wanted a Vega.. but this will do for now.. will probably upgrade again once Vega is out.

780ti purchased in Jan 2014, replaced a 580, which replaced 4870xfire, which replaced an 8800gt. Waiting unitl vega or something interesting comes along. Still does a good job for the majority of games at 1080/144.

GTX 970 (in sig) a year and a half ago. Good enough for my current monitor to run everything near high settings. When I go 4k that's when we'll have to discuss upgrade. Had a 290X Lightning for a week, but returned it due to bent cooling fins. No more were available so I made the choice to go with the 970 instead. Still not happy with the 3.5GB/.5GB fiasco. Will go with the best my budget allows when the time comes. I'm not AMD/Nvidia loyal.

Sapphire HD7870 bought back in december 2012. Runs still all games very decent. Will be upgraded to an Sapphire rx480 within the next months.

5870 1gb
Six years, three months old.

Will be getting a 480 when they are in stock and a Freesync monitor of some kind as they are 25% cheaper than a Gsync. It's like getting the video card for free.
