i'm 27 and still game regularly although i don't seem to have the same excitement about it as i did before. i don't know if thats age or just crappy games being released. i have a friend who is 32 or 33 and game a good bit.
there is a guy here at work who games a good bit and is probably late 40s to early 50s. another guy here is in his mid 30s plays also.

as you get older life get's more serious and you have less and less time to play games and more responsibility. myself for example I am 22 years old and it seems to be I am getting too old for games also. I think the feeling comes from being in high school just not too long ago and mashing games 24/7 like crazy without a worry in the world, to now playing moderetely and having a feeling of being "limited". Also if you are in a relationship it makes things even harder, unless your gf also plays games, but I would rather have one that does not. Personally my gf plays more games then me, and it is annoying because I am the one telling her to stop and relax and do something else with her time.

I don't think I will ever stop playing games though, maybe when I am 50 years old and my reflex skillz are uber peon I will play games single player because I won't want to get demolished online by some 11 year old.

I'm 24 and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I have friends whos parents play video games, especially the GameBoy Advance. My friend's mom played Guitar Hero with her over Easter. I'm gonna play them till I'm too old to see the TV.

yah because it'll be just like it was in 2004!

True, there are very few differences in Madden each year....but, new rosters, new stats, and a few new features/moves make it exciting, at least for me. Madden if more fun to play during the nfl season though.

I'm just putting off games temporarily while I spend time with my little kids but rest assured when they get to the age where they can play games, I'll be back and give them a run for the money. You're never too old to have fun. Heck, I play Legos with them still and find it fun as well.

Yah I hear ya. I haven't liked madden in like ... 5 years or so now cause it's the same damn game w/some gimmicks added.

But I know a ton of people who swallow it up every year and feed EA millions of dollars for hardly doing any work :(

The way the market was going last generation, mid 30's would have been the limit. Now with the Wii, age doesn't matter. I wonder how MS and Sony will attempt to enter this market?

I was line with my buddy at 12am waiting for Gamestop to open so we could pick up our reserved Madden 07. :)

age didn't matter before the wii. the wii maybe just made it more accessable or easier for non-gamers to play.

Lumines on psp (every day)
WoW on macbook pro (almost every day)

I figured I was the only here who would be playing lumines on the PSP... :)

sitting under my TV are a PS3, PS2 (only for Guitar Hero), Wii and Xbox 360...I also have a PSP and a DS Lite...

Of course my wife thinks that a 37 year old should spending that much time on video games...

I guess when games stop being fun to you? It's all about what you enjoy. I really hate when others try to tell me what I am too old to do. I do what I have fun doing. End of story.

as i grow older i feel like i am more selective with the games i'll play. for example i think all the games that came out for the pc in the last few years suck, even the highly rated ones, i cant keep my attention to them. i still play warcraft 3 and ut, and cant wait for the next ut game to come out, and a blizzard rts to own in :)

Is there such an age as too old to play video games?

I HOPE NOT!

I'm in my 50's and STILL enjoy FPS games...

I listed it too ;). Lumines is great on the PSP, but Lumines II was a bit of a disappointment. I personally cannot stand Gwen Steffani and dread playing... I think it's the 'A' Class. On that note, does anyone have a decent web mimic of Lumines... I'm in the mood to play, but I stopped bringing my PSP to wor... my current place of sit-age.

you just have to use moderation and keep real life a priority

it is just another form of entertainment, like watching sports or listening to music

I'm 27 and a father of 2 and I still play about 2-3 hours per week.

Obviously, all my responsibilities come first but I find absolutely nothing wrong with playing video games at any age so long as it doesn't dominate your life.

NEVER! When I die I want a solar panel hooked up, with a small tv and my xbox in my casket, going 24 7 all the time on a loop, so my games are playing even when I am dead :)
