How old is too old to play video games ?

I've been into video games and gaming my whole life. It seems as of late, now that I'm 25, that to me at least I'm getting a little to old for it.

For instance: Last night me and the girlfriend was walking around Wally World and I just looking at the Xbox 360 games and something just said, "your getting too old for games anymore"...lol

I guess when Diablo 2 came out, those were my gaming days..I can remeber wasting lots of hours on that !

ATOT...What do you guys think ?

dead

i am 41 and like to play video games, just like when i was 14 years old and played pong on a black/white TV

you just have to use moderation and keep real life a priority

it is just another form of entertainment, like watching sports or listening to music

i'm 36. i have a wife, a house and 2 kids and a good job.

here is what i am currently playing:

GoW on 360 (couple times a week)
Lumines on psp (every day)
WoW on macbook pro (almost every day)

never too old for fun. i'll be 50 here any minute now. i started building gaming rigs 3 years ago and i already have thoughts about when i'm wheelchair bound lol. if you think you are too old then you already are. like another poster said "moderation is the key"

I guess i was just needing a power-up to get back into it !

I also have a daughter, so some of the fact that I'm a daddy now, has a little to do with I guess..😱)

I don't play nearly as much as I used to, but at 23 I still play. I probably will still play when I'm 30, and 40, and on and on, especially if video games advance beyond prettier graphics.

I'm married and have an 8 month old son. I'll be 30 later this year, my wife knows that video games are just part of who I am, and will probably always be a hobby of mine. So long as I don't neglect my family responsibilities she could care less if I'm infront of the computer playing.

My dad enjoys playing old school FPS games still. I think last time I visited he was into Doom (the original). He has various saves at various levels and he just plays the levels he enjoys for a bit to chill out and relax his mind. It is better than him drinking or developing a stress-related condition from not cooling down. I would never think to tell him he is too old to play. I only mock him for his antiquated game choices.

Great game, although I think the VS CPU mode in Lumines II is waaaay too hard compared to the XBOX LA version. Either that or it's messed up, because I play better on the PSP compared to my XBLA version, and I was getting my butt handed to me about 8 times in a row by the last couple AIs.

And uhhh you're never too old really. Just keep your priorities straight and it's just like golf or fishun'.

my grandmother is in her 70's and enjoys bowling on the wii. i'll post an update when she hits 80 to see if she still enjoys video games in her 80's.

my girl really just does not like video games, but she understands it's something I'm into and it's one of my hobbies, so she deals with it.

as long as you do it in moderation, gaming has no age limit on it whatsoever. but if you are getting to the point where you don't do any chores or anything around the house because you are gaming, and to the point where your girl has to go find loving elsewhere, then you may have a problem

but to put an age limit on gaming is just stupid, especially considering the average gaming consumer is now closer to their 30's than being a child.

My dad's well in his 50's and is rocking Zelda TP and just sent his PS2 to Sony for repair. That makes my nephew a 3rd generation gamer.
