I disagree with this wholeheartedly. I want the POTUS that I vote for to be able to competently determine who the experts are on any particular subject, and to be able to listen to those experts. There is no realistic doubt as to the approximate age of the Earth.

That he's trying to play to both sides indicates that either A) he doesn't have a spine. B) That he's attempting to pander. Or C) He's an idiot.
 
do be honest, he's probably more interest in becoming a viable hispanic-friendly candidate, since this seems to be the biggest problem with the GOP today.

Hispanics hate--generally due to distrust--Rubio, so I think he cares more about being able to pull in "his own," at this moment, than appealing to the aged WASPS at the base.

False premise. He's discounting his opinion on science because his religion trumps it.

It's like discounting economics because his religion says math is evil.

But, his problems with the hispanic community aside, ignoring his problems with science and education, Rubio has some serious baggage to deal with.
 
Isn't it odd Republicans lack of belief of science in lieu of religion is the same thing that got them in trouble during the election concerning the polls and election results.

Don't you think you guys have too much belief in the CEC????

The polls weren't really "right". On average they showed too much support for Romney.

I honestly think that Rubio doesn't actually believe what he said but that he has to pander to the fundie base of the party...shows that they haven't learned a thing from the recent election! Hopping in bed with the Religious Right may prove to be a long term debacle for the GOP as the moderates are starting to run away in droves.
 
Science is not at odds with the genesis account of creation. Ignorance is . If god says it took 6 days thats how long it took . From Gods perspective.

If your were in a star ship and went to a blackhole. Than you send a science team out to the event horizon . As you travel away frpm the explosion space Time speeds up as space fabric expands . Its all rather simple . But You people believe what ever you like , The 6 days of creation are from Gods perspective not mans . If you traveled at light speed for a year and returned home . Your 10 year younger brother would now be 10 years older than you . Science fact . But you people never have let facts get in the way of Your ignorant understand of the universe and how it formed and how time dialation is a matter of perspective .
