how old do you have to be to buy a glock?

Shotgun will work better. Chance of missing is low and even if you do miss the sound will scare the ****** out of them.

A handgun will just make them shot back until 1 of you stops firing.

you wouldnt necessarily want a Glock though..you would probably want a Springfield XD-9 because of the additional safeties and nicer quality (IMHO)

Some states you can possess a handgun at 18. To buy one from an actual gun dealer, gotta be 21.

21 as far as I know.

Go 9mm, less stopping power but less recoil = more controllable.
Also, the ammo is cheaper, so you can actually shoot enough to get comfortable with it.

Alot of pistols can be fitted with stocks. Though doing it to one makes it a short barreled rifle, and thus illegal to posess unless you have the tax stamp for it.

There's even an attachment for some to mount them to the bottom of a rifle
