If you're worried about living near the projects, do what I did... ar-15 airsoft gun with laser pointer electrical taped to it... scared the ****** out of a crackhead that tried to break into my room last year. though I suppose it didn't stop him from breakign into my roommates room...

Thank god I live in a better neighborhood now.

But yeah people will back away from a shotgun pointed in their face, but get confrontational when a pistol is pointed at them.

But 90 seconds have already passed since you loaded into this map, so you've gotta wait until respawn...

OP will end up shooting himself or his roommate in the face w/ the gun, and vice versa.

If you live in the ghetto, you can buy a guy as soon as you got 20.00. Just make sure it's umarked and never touch it with your bare hands.

You have never owned a Glock.

Youre right. I fired a 10mm and discovered it wasnt my cup of tea. To each his own I suppose.

Browning makes handguns?

9MM Highpower, 15 round clip

Highpower comes w/shouldstock?

dude, aboid this gun. it wouldnt strike terror. it'll stike laugher. and u want to be considered seriously when u pull your gun.

Dude, seriously get a dictionary. You worry about striking terror, we worry about striking targets. High quality guns 'n ammo of your favorite brand are the key. No Saturday night specials filled with your uncle Festor's reloads.

Also you have to know when its best NOT to draw a weapon but a calm, level head to avoid lawsuits and maybe even jail. :(

I'm sorry, but this is TERRIBLE advice. What are you going to do if the crackhead is armed and draws down on you? Shoot him with your toy rifle? You might say "He's not going to pull a gun out if he has (what appears to be) a rifle pointed at him" but crackheads are far from logical thinkers.

If you're going to point a gun at someone in self defense, it better be real, it better be loaded, and you had better be ready to take a life and deal with the consequences of that action.

Pointing a toy or unloaded gun at someone is asking for trouble. It might work once or twice, but it's not advice that you should give to other people.

Once I get my Illinois "FOID" I'll probably be getting 22 revolver for target shooting from a store named Gat Guns.

Yea, I know, It's not quite as good as a gun company named Gat...

That's like asking "How old do you have to be to drive a Honda."

Gee, don't you know you can get your Honda licence at 15 but can't drive a Toyota until you're 18?

Dumb.

Glock is a brand of gun.
Glock is not a synonym for gun.

Yeah I see your logic. I guess I'd rather scare them away and then move the heck out before they can come back instead of having to deal with the consequences of possible murder charges. Which is one of the reasons I don't keep a gun at my house. Although I spose that since I have martial arts training the thoughts of some fiending crackhead trying to pull a pistol on me in close quarters never really crossed my mind as something I'd have much of a problem with. Still there's always the chance they could come back and wait till I'm sleeping or something... Boy am I glad I don't live there anymore.

You obviously don't know sh!t about guns.

The Browning Hi Power was the best semi-auto pistol available in 9mm for many decades. It was the last firearm ever designed by John Browning and was completed by Dieudonne Saive (who also developed the FN49 and FN-FAL) following his death.

The new ones from FN (in 9mm and .40 S&W) are still fantastic pistols. It appears that it will even surpass the venerable 1911s in terms of length of service in a number of armies.
