How often do you wash your jeans?

Someone's calling me dirty because I don't wash my jeans as often as she would like. I don't think washing a jean (that has no noticable dirt) is necessary, and I usually can keep a single pair of jeans clean for about 2 months before I decide to send them off to the cleaners.

In that time, I would probably get in about 15-20 uses before I decide to send them off to the cleaners.

I think I just like that new look, as throwing jeans in a washing machine usually diminishes the look.

Just wondering, how often do you guys clean your pants?

I hate washing them because they get old-looking. The cleaners seem to do a much better job with keeping that 'new' look.

Wow. I wash them after everytime i wear them, even if there is no noticeable dirt on them. No ifs ands or buts about it.

Doesn't that diminish the look over time?

Every 2 or 3 wears... They'll start to smell if I don't wash them more often than that.

Same here, with all my clothing.

And always in my washer and dryer. Only clothing I take to the dry cleaners are a few military uniform items.

Not really, at least not the color jeans i buy. Currently i'm wearing ones that are khaki brown, and they're probably the same color as they were 50 washes ago.

Usually about 2 weeks before I wash my jeans. I can wear them every day for 2 weeks, and if they don't get dirty then I have no problem wearing them again. Shoot, my work slacks, I go for months.

It's pointless to wash them after every wear. Plus, it seems like I have to stretch them out after I wash them so they'll fit comfortable again.

See, thats the thing. I usually buy jeans with very heavy dye on them. Dark blue/black. They look ragged even after one wash. I fear even dropping food on them because the very act of rubbing off the food can cause a bright spot on them.

Well then i would find a new style rather than wear something for two months! I stopped buying dryclean only clothes even if they're comfortable (like cashmere) because i hate cleaning them so often.

Mine rarely go more than 5 wearings without some sort of visible dirt, so that's how often i wash them.

15-20??? Ugh, you're nasty.

If you were going to say 2 or 3 I was going to take your side, but they would be full of leg dander, moisture, and ass gas after 15 wearings :disgust:

ArmaniExchange, Hugo Boss and most of the other 'designer' jeans recommend dry cleaning when possible (the colors aren't guaranteed for washer / dryer cleaning if you must, turn them inside out).

You youngin's and your wranglers ;)
