How often do you wash your clothes??

simple question, was arguing with a friend, how often do you wash you jeans? t-shirts? and sweaters/sweatshirts?
i was saying this is what i would call a logical amount before washing. he was saying you can wear them longer


Jeans - 3 wears
T-shirts - 1 wears
Sweater/sweatshirts- 4 wears

how often do you guys wash these articles of clothing?

Never wear socks twice, usally smells like rotting second time around, nasty stuff

underpants - one wear

Wear them until they smell funny. TShirts usually 1 wear, socks 1 wear. The rest is kinda iffy.

t-shirts and collared shirts 1 time
I don't really where sweatshirts, I have a fleece pullover that I wear sometimes, probably goes like 5 wears or something, only wear it when it is extra cold and I need another layer of clothes under my jacket.

Roughly once every couple months or so, whether they need it or not. Both pairs, too!

a guy i knew in college actually beleived that washing clothes wore them out and was unecessary and since bad smell is from bacteria and bacteria can be killed by the sun

so by laying ur clothes out in the sun for a few hours it would kill the bacteria hence you did not ever need to wash your clothes...

needless to say there was a flaw in his theory and homeboy stank like a mofo...

carzy thing is he honestly belived that clothes need not be washed at all, I always wondered what his homelife was like...if he got this 'theory' from his parents or he made it up once he moved into the dorms .....

jeans it depends, sometimes i can't stand them after 1 wear, sometimes after like 5 wears they still look and smell like new. T-shirts usually 1 wear, socks/boxers 1 wear, most of my sweaters are dry-clean and plus i don't wear them too often so maybe like once every 3-4 months (probably about 5-6 wears in between)

We don't wear shop clothes and mess them with oil and other car lubricants like you

 

That's different, I have uniforms at work.

i've met quite a few people who use a new shower towel per day and end up having to do a whole load of laundry just for shower towels. that's weird to me.

I am not going to wipe my face with a towel that my little 8 year old just wiped his ass with that's for sure.

underwear - once

socks - once

basketball shorts & jerseys - once

collared shirts - depends on how long it's been worn... sometimes i wear it for an hour to go out real quick and come back.. no more than 1 full day

pants - 3 or 4 times again depending on how long it's been worn

fleeces/sweaters/sweatshirts - 2 or 3
