most phones seem to transition from one charecter to the next instantly. The only problem is if you want to type something like ABC. then you would have to hit 1, then wait, hit 11 then wait, then hit 111.

Unless it's on predictive text.....

she must have figured out how much predictive text to use for supercalifragilisticwhatnot and then practiced that pattern to get the timing down right.

I would assume that they weren't allowed to use predictive typing since it stores recently used words in the dictionary. It also looks like she's using a qwerty keypad.

I don't use text messages on my phone but I do send email (it's a BlackBerry). My sister went through 8200 messages last month if you total sent and received. My parents have since turned off messaging on her phone.

On my phone, you can hit the right arrow key and it will instantly skip to the next position for you to continue.

I clock >500 lines/day in Google chat with partners for our engineering senior project... one conversation was >400 lines alone.

Same here. And on the computer I use "chat" programs less and less.

Same here and my phone is so behind the times that it doesn't take pictures or play music or access the internet. Shameful! 😱

13-year-olds shouldn't have a monthly contracted cell phone rate plan, let alone that much in texts.
I fail to see why all these little kids have to have cell phones, all they do is run up the bill.

If I had a kid I'd give him allowance and set up him with a prepaid phone. He'll do the filling himself.

I send between 5-10 text messages a day, mostly staying in touch with my daughter but some work-related phone numbers and things like driving directions. I also send quite a few picture messages.

I only do it when I need to ditch the guys for a booty call 😉

Or ditch the booty call for the guys, whatever.

I never do from my cell phone. I hate my cell phone. 🙂 Sometimes I'll put my friends phone numbers in aim and text message them from aim just to bug the crap out of them, that's pretty fun.

I use about 100-150 SMS per month.

Mostly friends, but what I find really benaficial is txting Google @ (GOOGL).

It's awesome. Need to find a number of a restaurant? Just text GOOGL with "Olive Garden 48825", and it will give you the address and number.

Need directions? Just text: "Detroit, MI to Miami, FL"

It can do definitions of words too! "Define poop"
Currecy converter! "1 USD to EUR"

And much more. If you can think of it, it prolly works.
