Just about never. I came comfortably say I don't care about anyone in my life enough to cry over them. That's sad. Not quite sad enough to make my cry though.

Teh sadness has ruined my mood. 🙁

Anything I can do? A non-gay hug perhaps?

Eh... it's not just that... I'm up reviewing personel files and sh!t. I have to recommend one of the people in my group get the axe on friday. There's not enough work to be done; it is possible that they might be transferred to another group depending on their abilities and circumstances.

Out of curiosity, what's worse: Someone who consistently (3 days a week) comes in at 11 and leaves at 5 (1 hour-ish lunch), but is great at their job, and has been there longer than me. Or someone who has only been there a year, and basically just sucks at their job, barely speaks English, barely reads English... has a hard time grasping basic programming concepts (how the hell did he get a degree?)

Basically this new guy (who's Indian) has been a pain in my ass since he started. His groupmates complain that he's incompetent... But I'm a little wary of choosing him because he's obviously an immigrant.

A big problem these days is people being afraid of getting rid of someone if they're a minority/immigrant because of the PC nutjobs that assume that's the reason. If he's incompetant can his ass. If someone says something about his race/ethnicity just simply state that you based your decision on job performance and that you're not as narrow-minded as some in order to factor in race/ethnicity.

d00d.. can his ass. Who cares if he works from 8-5 if he can't do his job?

Give it to someone who actually wants it and cares.

Fortunately I'm not in charge of the firing or the hiring. Unfortunately, due to that fact, I end up with people like him in my group. But AFAIK, his position is being eliminated, not replaced. My mind is all but made up, but I've seen it happen before in other groups, it's more likely for them to transfer someone who may file a suit than to fire them. Guess that's just the litigious world we live in.

Oh, I just remember that I cried when I saw Maurice Richard's funerals on TV... all alone in my room hehehehe. He is/was one of my idols.

I've never been one to cry, I can remember being at a funeral and all my family members were crying but I felt no emotion, made me feel kind of cold inside, like I should be crying but felt nothing.

Maybe once every few months... i play my guitar, break down, then fall asleep on my strings.

EDIT: I mean PLAY MY GUITAR as in actually play, not the sick thing which I know some of you are thinking

As in having a true cry, with sobs, tears runnind down your face and snot and that wailing waaaaaaaa!?..... It's been a while... maybe I have to many pent up emotions and the dam will break soon, then all will know my pain.

No, you're probably healthier than most. Males are conditioned not to show any emotion other than anger. Male crying is generally associated with being "weak" or "gay" or "sissy." Crying can be a healthy release of emotion -- just as you described. As long as it isn't a daily occurance (and possibly a symptom of clinical depression), I would say you have nothing to worry about.
