how often do you cook?

let's define "cooking" as preparing a meal that requires the use of a stove, oven, or grill (re: not throwing a frozen dinner in the microwave)

it's probably only like once or twice a week for me 🙁 I enjoy cooking, but hate hate hate doing dishes. each time I cook, I'll generally cook enough for 4 meals or so, and then I'll typically get take-out 2-3 times a week, eat dinner with my family once (with leftovers for 2-3 meals afterward), and eat sandwiches, cereal, or stuff from the prepared foods section of my grocery store (salads, grilled chicken breasts) for the rest of my meals.

I'm at home while going back to college so fortunately I have someone to cook for me. I work an irregular schedule so it really depends on if I have time. I didn't have to be at the studio until 11am today so I made waffles this morning. I cook a lot more when I can use the BBQ. I'm going to try and cook more though though to reduce my mom's burden since my dad does ah heck all. At least something once a day.

about a dozen times a year

i don't make time to do it, it isn't a priority, it isn't that i don't like it or don't like the cleanup

DAMN YOU!

I was just going to come in here and ask how you define cooking.

But using the definition you said, I go on streaks. I'll cook steaks for a month straight, then move to chicken for a month. After that I will get sick of cooking and do taco bell and canned food for a month. Repeat.

I don't mind cooking, but usually am too lazy for it. I'll do breakfasts on the weekends if I have the stuff (eggs, hash browns, bacon, etc). During the winter cooking doesn't get much further than mac and cheese. Summer time is grill time, though. Steaks, chicken, whatever it may be.

Being a single guy, I got in the habit of cleaning my dishes up immediately after using them and putting them away. If I waiting to get a full load in the dish washer I'd be waiting forever.

I'm on a college campus. I think the closest I've come to cooking is thawing pre-cooked frozen shrimp and microwave food.

7-12 times per week. Its a ton cheaper to cook food than to go out and eat. Saves hundreds of dollars per month.

i cook almost every day. i used to have to eat out for lunch, but now i'm starting to make a shitload of food at night and save some for the following days
