How often do you actually do research on controversial topics before making decisions

I assume hardly ever for the vast majority of ATOT. It seems you all are mostly persuaded as easily as the rest of the drones in the world.

When I say research I don't mean watching youtube videos. When I say research I mean you've looked at a variety of sources that are biased and unbiased, and you have analyzed the material that you've accumulated over the hours you've done this research to make a truly informed decision with rational thought.

Doubtful I am of you, ATOT.

To respond to the OP, what examples do you have for what would be considered "controversy" because I think there is a line between controversial and drama. Like the theory of evolution is controversial, while the question of whether Lady Gaga is a man or not is pure drama.

Most things that are "controversial" are merely controversial because of nutjobs who refuse to accept reality and reason, and they lack anything remotely considered logic.

Take for instance the following topics that may seem controversial, but I invite anyone to actually take hours researching and come to a logical conclusion:

- Evolution
- Using dead babies for awesome stuff (stem cell research using aborted fetuses)
- "Truthers"
- Advanced energy sources, economic cost to implement such energy technology

Well, I'll have to do some more research to find something remotely controversial. An actual "controversial" subject, versus perceived controversy, is an entirely different subject.

I guess one can argue using the remains of dead babies is "controversial", but most of these folks are religious buffoons, and the other half of that lot are merely uninformed and go "eww, NO!" without actually weighing the good and the bad and actually realizing that nothing happens to the majority of these parasites-in-tubes besides eventually finding the trash. Why waste something chock-full of awesome?
