Let's say you closed an account or paid of your credit, how soon does that information get updated with credit Bureaus?

It takes about 10 years for the big burros to get it, but the little burros (burritos) get it in 2 weeks and the whole enchilda gets it within 14 years.

I was laughing myself actually. I was on the phone at the time and I kept giggling - the lady must've thought I was crazy. Btw, I believe the chance of this thread getting useful replies is officially 0 right now. Thanks a lot!!!

I dont know the answer, but I do know that a card I cancelled still showed up on a credit report as being an active account, and that was after about 6 months...

It depends. If your late on payments they report after being more than 30 days late. If you pay promptly they can wait at least 60 days, maybe even 6 months. If it goes to collections and you pay it they never say anything because the bureau takes it off after 7 years. If you're in a hurry get a report, write up a dispute and they have 30 days to fix it (after checking w/credit card co.)

Oops, almost forgot the obligitory--- NEF
