I don't have a set time either. I used to but not in my new position of over the past year. I'm usually in around 8:30 and leave between 4 and 5 depending on what is going on. I have stayed till 9 in the past and worked on the weekends and such. Usually, if i work from home though, i'll do a 7-4.

I used to come in 10-15 minutes early every single day, but I usually spent that time eating breakfast, surfing the web for news, and just generally waking up a bit before starting my work. I get in to work about an hour before most of my coworkers and I noticed they were always coming in a little late and there we no consequences at all. Heck, the boss was the worst about being on time. Now, after 2 years of becoming jaded, I just take my sweet time eating breakfast in the morning and I get in to work 0-10 minutes late almost every day. No one is there to even see that I am late and even if there were, it wouldn't matter. Bottom line is I come in, I do my work in an efficient manner and I never miss a deadline. If that changes, then people can start complaining about my lateness.

The worst is if you have one of those jobs where they get bent out of shape about you being late to work every once in a while, yet when it comes time to go home every day they try getting you to stay longer.

I'm never late since there is never a required time I have to be in the office. However I am there between 8:30 and 8:40 every day.

(and yes, I'm a business analyst....)

Thats exactly what I was gonna say (even the BA part  )

Hell, I was 2 minutes late when I posted this. 35 minutes late to work this morning. Sadly, I have been getting worse of late. What used to be only 15-20 minutes has become 20-35 minutes. >_<

Once, on purpose. I did it because a female co-worker of mine showed up late every day, and never got yelled at. I wanted to see what would happen if I showed up late, since I was always 10 minutes early for this particular job (in high school).

I showed up 5 minutes late one day, sure enough, I got yelled at.

At my last workplace, I usually came in at 9:20-9:30. But if you have no set time you have to be there by, you can't really be late...

Never, flex hours for the win!

I come in and leave when I choose, as long as the work gets done.

Same, as long as I remember to get here for the few meeting where my attendance is required.

I was about 10 minutes late nearly every day when I worked nightshift at Walmart. The first thing the managers usually said when I finally walked in: "Hey Jeff, here's what's going on tonight." They never said anything about it, so I never saw a reason to hurry up. I was reliable and did a good job, which was what they were concerned with. I didn't work with the rest of the shift, I was offset by about 2 hours. I'd usually help unload the trucks if those guys were running behind, and then pull pallets back at the end of the night and try to put the back room in order. It was that, or else I'd be stocking, or taking care of various special projects throughout the store, such as hanging things from the ceiling. And those Supercenter ceilings are really damn high up when you're looking down from them.

At my summer job, timing was important, so I was a few minutes early every day, and for my work study job I'm always on time

Every day, about 30 minutes. I'm supposed to be at work at 8am, but I get here pretty much at 8:30 on the nose every day. But my boss is located in a different city, so he has no idea. As long as there are no complaints, he has no reason to care. Also, I usually only take like 30 minutes for lunch at my desk, but put down an hour, so it works itself out.

Very rarely late (had a flat tire is the one time I can remember in years.) I am more or less early by varying degrees but leaving the house at a set time gives me a buffer.

Never. I'm normally there over 1/2 hour before what is considered normal starting time.

Depending on the client I'm out working on, my job seems to be pretty flexible with the time that I come in (because typically we'll be staying past 8 hours anyways). Usually the time ranges between 8-9 am. I've come in later than 9 a few times but nobody has ever said anything.
