... unless of course it's a time crticial job like emergency services- but I'm a software developer. i get into the office when i can and I get my job done before I leave. thats all that matters

It's impossible for me to be late, seeing as I would never work somewhere that defined "professional" as being on-time every day.
I come in when I want, and they love it.

Technically, every day, but my boss is cool about it. He doesn't consider 10-15 minutes as being late. It started off as 10-15 minutes, but now it's getting closer to 30-45 minutes for me.

Though it is common for me to work through lunch and stay late a few times a week so I don't get hassled. My disposition and work ethic suffers tremendously under the reign of a time nazi.

At my last job I was late probably every other day (10-15 min), but I would would be ontime or early on days when we had shoots, and I would stay until the work gets done, even if it means staying an extra 4-5 hours late every day for a weeks at a time. (I'm an hourly employee).

I can't remember the last time I was late at my current job. I used to be late at my last one, but that's because I was trying to break my arm before I left as an excuse not to have to go in.
