Bahahahhaaaa....

Wouldn't that be something to see someone got a stick of RAM in the mail with a sticker showing the address, and a single stamp for postage.

Ehh... could happen, I know people have sent RAM in a regular envelope.

murphy55d - you dont ship usps often do you :) The stamps and DC = USPS. I kind of doubt UPS would let you ship it this way. But to be honest i wouldn't have thought USPS would let you either. Guess it just goes to show you...

You'd be surprised what ups lets you ship. I once bought a used manual transmission from an outfit in Texas. It was shipped to Georgia. on a very small (2ftx2ft) pallet. no cardboard, etc. Just a little baling wire to hold it steady. The driver was quite surprised to have a ~100lb transmission delivery. Needless to say, the transmission was damaged somewhere along the way (bell housing had a chunk taken out of it).

The return was fun. It took about a weeks worth of arguing to get them to agree to replace it. The company that sent it to me gave me their account number. I made the mistake of letting the place where I work handle the shipping details and they accidentally sent it next day early a.m delivery. I'm glad I didn't pay that bill.

The next one came with no problems.

Actually, UPS will take bare tires and rims. The only requirement is that your tape the barcodes securely to the tread or the sidewall.

Every time I'm at the center, there are usually tires there getting ready for delivery again b/c the people werent in.

Bottom line: I want my $$ back. What would you do?

That's easy - it should come naturally - STAB HIM!!!

Maybe he's just a kid who stole the thing and wanted to get rid of it? Pay him a suprise visit!

like stupid RMA request (power went out, so my whole computer is hence broken, I need to replace everything)
and idiotic shipping package (just like the S4 rim, some dude just put a stamp on a piece of ram)

OK, looks like a fake to me. There aren't enough stamps on it and I see no metered make-up stamp either. Looks like 3x3.50 stamps and some smaller denominations. That comes out to be about 5 pounds. There's no way a tire/rim combo can weigh in at this little.

Seen similar stunt pulled by ubid.com sometimes they wont package a product in a carton and will ship it as it comes from the mfgr. They sent me a clock that way and it showed up all busted to junk.
