How nice is the Plaza Hotel in NYC?

Found a decent rate on it, think i might splurge and treat my GF for valentines day..... Is it worth $200 a night?

Actually i just called my dad.... He stayed there about 15 years ago and said the hotel was pretty damn old..... Anyone have any recent experience there?

It's class....i stayed there a couple of times.

Its not old...its a classic. Just make sure you go for tea at 3pm on one of your days there.

Well im deciding between the Plaza, Sofitel, or Crown Plaza.... Hmmmmmm

do not goto the plaza! you are much better off at the new ritz carlton, four seasons, or the waldorf. no plaza! imo one of the most overrated hotels in nyc

According to Home Alone 2 the Plaza Hotel was very nice. 😉
