How much would you say you spend on haircuts per year?

At the age of 15 I decided it was kind of bullshit to pay a barber $10 for a one cut ($8+$2 tip) every two weeks or so when I could easily just buy a set of clippers for $15 and cut my own hair for free. Aside from being cheap, when I ask girls for help they find some sort of odd satisfaction from cutting hair 😉

Forgot how much it sucked to pay that much until I lived in dorms for a year and didn't have any real place to cut my hair.

$15 every 2 to 3 months, so around $60 a year.

Just bought some clippers for $20, so yay me?

Assuming the clippers I bought in 1997 fail today, my average would be $1.91/yr plus electricity so round it up to $2/yr.

Approximately $240/year. I get my hair cut twice a month, especially before I have Army Reserve duty.

$23, 1 Hair cut/year. Thinking of going $0 next year by shaving my head in the Spring. My hair is getting so thin it'll be like removing my stubby sideburn.

Around $500 a year. My hair grows fast and I don't trust places like Great Clips are they bastardized my hair giving me bangs.

$160

I get my hair cut every month and a half or so (I try for every month, but then end up procrastinating for a week or two). $20/cut after tip.

For all the self-cutters:

Do you just take clippers and stand infront of the mirror with a #__ guard and go crazy? Or does an SO/friend help you in a classic head-through-garbage-bag arrangement by the kitchen table?
