how much would it cost to replace or fix a water pump on a car?

no, we drive a lot, has around 95000 miles already. its about time to replace some parts anyways. All I need to know is how much it would cost
 
Are you replacing the timing belt as well? They typically do both of these replacements at the same time.

If you are at 95k, and the timing belt hasn't been replaced yet, you should definitely do that too.
 
yes, i think it was the timing belt that actually busted the whole damn thing. When we were driving before it broke, we heard a rattling and my father said that it might be the timing belt, sure enough he was right. The timing belt broke and the water pump went with it How much would it cost please tell me if you know, just a rough estimate

Does the Camry have an interference engine?
 
As someone had suggested, you should get your timing belt looked at as well because the labor is expensive to get this fixed (as opposed to the parts being expensive). If you get it both taken care of, you can kill two birds with one stone when it comes to labor.
 
i know the labor is expensive, i was given a quote that the whole thing might, might cost around $450 - $500, is that how much it would roughly cost or is the guy trying to rip me off?

That's not a bad estimate. Thier is a lot of labor involved although the parts are relatively cheap. Hondas run between $350-450 to do a timing belt/water pump at the dealer.
 
because i only have around $600 to spend and i wanna know if that will cover everything, i dont want to tow my car all the way there and find out that it would cost double, thats what im worried about im on a tight budget.

That sounds about right. $500 ain't that bad, especially if its from the dealer. Just make sure that when yousign the estimate, you sign one that says $500 for example, so they can't try and charge you for any much more than that.
