$26/6mo for a box large enough for small packages. Price actually decreased this year. Great way to control your mail particularly if you do the moving student action.

I would be surprised if you couldn't find info @usps website

hypothetical situation...what if a delivered box is too big for the po box? would they take it back or leave it with the store, like mailboxes etc?

They have lockers that are big for 1 time uses, they leave the key in your PO box.

Take the key to the locker open it theres your over sized item.

are you using USPS or something else? I just talked to my friend in schaumburg and he pays $20/year for a USPS box

I pay $84 per year for a USPS mail box, it's one size up from the smallest. I find it holds magazines, letters, bills, and other junk mail more efficiently than a super cramped ghetto box.

If I receive a large package such as a DVD Player from 800.com they leave a "parcel pickup" slip in my PO Box, I take it to the counter or their will call (closes at 6PM), they take it and hand me the package.

The only downside is UPS and FedEx will NOT deliver to a USPS PO Box. But if you get a PO Box from somewhere like Mailboxes Etc. USPS, UPS and FedEx should all deliver to those addresses.

I was told by local PO, the Annual or semi-annual PO Box rental fee depends on region where PO is located; how many boxes are in the location, how much income the location brings in to the USPO, etc. So don't expect to find the same rental fee, let's say, in Minnesota as in Delaware.

Peace for the Holidays...
