Hey guys, I was just wondering if the k6-2's oc'ed at all? I'm going to be setting up a webserver and I'd like to salvage my old stuff. Would a k6-2 300 mhz [ram's really cheap to get now so that wont be a problem :) ] be enough for a lightly used web/ftp server? I'm talking about 10-20 hits at most a day [its a personal site... I just need stuff like java and stuff installed].

The K6-2 generally werent great overclockers. Most K6-2 300's that I've heard of were usually able to hit roughly 350MHz. I've seen some that wouldnt even hit 333MHz though and others that could make a bit above 400MHz.

I had my 350 at 425 and my 450 at 500. I don't think that you will get much out of them. :(

300 ins't bad for a web server.. as long as it's not a windows server.. if you run linux on that 300 it should be good.
