How much weight do you lose sleeping at night?

This is before I take my morning leak too. After that I'm typically 3 lbs lighter than when I went to bed. I must burn a lot of calories or expel a lot of water vapor or something. Or my scale is just waking up too and is off.

I've never bothered to figure out how much weight I actually lose. I only weigh myself first thing in the morning everyday as a gauge of whether I need to eat more or less depending on my current goals.

I will say though that I have much more definition first thing in the morning. By the evening my abs are all washed out and I look like I gained a few lbs. of fat in my midsection, when in reality it's all water retention that will disappear by the following morning.

I've seen as much as somewhere in the 7-10 range when I ate a lot the evening before.

Normally, though, I'll drop about 5 lbs. As Special K mentioned, it really affects the way my abs look.

When I wrestled in high school, I knew that if I went to bed two pounds over my weight, I'd usually show up to the meet under it...

I lose about 2.5lbs every night in farts alone.

if you let out that much gas you wouldn't wake up in the morning, unless you sleep in a fume hood 😛

I wouldn't know, but I do know you shrink whilst you?re sleeping.

i think its the other way around, your spine decompresses and you are actually taller in the morning than at night.

You must have some nasty underwear in the morning.

OK. I'm kidding. In reality, unless your'e sleep walking to the bathroom, you can only lose weight through respiration and sweat. I imagine you sweat a decent amount when you sleep if there is a 3lb difference between when you go to bed and when you wake up.

Yup, you're right. That's what I meant.

Do you live in the desert? That air will suck a lot of moisture out of you and since you are out cold, you are not replenishing fliuid.
