I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight arctic silver epoxy could hold, when being between a GPU and heatsink/fan? I'm thinking about putting an sk-6 on my vid card.. dunno if that'd work though. :)

Well I've seen some Sk-6 on those slockets (sock 370 to Slot 1 converters) and they were holding good, but I'm not sure how where they attached. You could always use some extra support by taking advantage of that one PCI slot which you would lose anyways because of the size of sk-6.

Don't try the trick on the commercial where the construction worker holds onto his helmet glued to a steel I-beam. I'm sure that would be too much :D

Just out of curiosity, why would you wanna put that big a heatsink on a gfx card?

The processor won't go anywhere near high enough to stress an SK-6.

Just settle for an old Pentium heatsink or something, heat isnt the primary reason why graphics chips cant go higher.

btw even if your GPU has the best cooling out there if your RAM has nothing on it you wouldn't get much better results with just the stock cooling solution.
