How much water do you drink in a day...?

Ok has been 4 years since this was asked... Also was asked about 5 years prior to that...😛 Want to see if its changed much...? This is just WATER not beer or sodas, tea or other...

I tend to drink around 3-4 liters per day even on cold days... But I work outside in the field for the most part... Possibly a bit more in the summer... Also this is during a full 24 hour period (I get up in the night and drink sometimes as well)

when going to school 1,5-1,75 L of water (+ 0,25 L of milk).
If I stay at home the whole day, I really don't drink as much as I should but I can't quantify it because I drink directly from the sink when I feel like it. But I can tell that it's less than what's healthy, probably around 1 L including the milk. I don't sweat at all though if I stay in front of the computer and it's not summer.

Maybe one or two glasses in average? Some days I'll have like 4-5. If ever I'm sick or I think I'm going to get sick I usually drink a ton. I don't know whether or not it helps, but figure it's worth a shot.

I should be drinking more, that i know. You need what, like 8 glasses per day? Though when I drink anything more than 4 glasses I'm peeing for the rest of the day every 5-10 minutes, so I would not really want to be drinking that much all the time unless I can get a catheter installed with a drain outlet in the wall. 😛

Maybe 200 mL.

Guaranteed liquids:
- Half a cup of milk in cereal.
- 1 Coke Zero (355mL)
- 1 cup of juice or another coke zero.
- 100mL (a sip) before bed.

Read somewhere that you don't really need to drink water separately. The food you eat essentially contains enough liquid.

You cannot underestimate water intake through food.

I eat lots of Korean food and most of them are stew or soup. That's a huge difference compared to someone eating sandwich and chips.

This. That whole "8 - 9001" glasses of water a day thing has been misrepresented. The original thing did indeed say that you should get a lot of water each day, but the next thing it said was that a lot of this water was found in consumed food.

If our bodies weren't capable of using the water found in our food, I doubt that our species would have ever survived long enough to make it out of Africa.

That's a good point, fruit for example has lot of water in it. So eating a large chunk of watermelon is probably equivalent to one glass right there.

Duh of course. Water or food, they all go to same stomach and end up in one goo.

I try for my 64 ounces.

I leave the house for work with a 16 oz bottle of water... usually drink the whole thing on my commute to work.

I refill it when I get to work, and drink another 16 ounces before lunch.

I'll refill it again after lunch and drink another 16 between lunch and going home.

refill it again on my way out the door and drink it sometime in between leaving work and going to bed.

I was hospitalized for dehydration a couple years back and it was unpleasant. ever since, I've been a bit paranoid about drinking enough water.

Of water just by itself maybe a glass or 2 so maybe 3-4 cups depending. Of other fluids a little more then half a gallon a day.
From the food I eat not a clue.

Does it count if I drink Beer like water?

I am currently addicted to drinking soda water that I can get from the store in 2L bottles for 60c

I drink one gallon of water a day, plus 1-2 protein shakes with 8oz milk. I hate coffee and gave up sodas and tea a few years ago and don't miss them.

I do drink a lot of water mixed with OJ (at least 1/2 gal at work plus some at home). Good for the skin, hair and healthy

4-5 letters

I had to switch to strait-up water for my primary consumption when I moved from a place that was 90% humidity to a place that was 15%.

Nobody knows. We think diet is a big part but I have made many changes to my diet since the first of 8 stones back in 2003. Nothing seems to help. Heck at this point we arent even sure excessive water is doing me genuine good.

😵

Maybe you should switch to a diet that's at least 10% morphine.
