how much voltage for memory?

I decided to start OCing my memory today and i think it's clearing up some of the problems i've been having. my POS PNY 2700 ddr was at 166mhz 7, 3, 3, 2.5.
now in order to reach a measely 11, 2, 2, 2.5, i had to raise the voltage to 2.72 (actual as read by bios). default voltage is 2.5v right? how high would you feel comfortable setting the the voltage for memory? is it still in at a safe level now?

ah, crap. the sandra memory bandwidth benchmark is showing lower performance at this "overclocked" level... guess i'll go back to 7, 3, 3, 2.5

went back to the drawing board and tried higher FSB instead. currently running 184mhz with 11, 3, 3, 2.5 timings. so assuming that it passes memtest, would it be okay to run at this level at 2.72V?

corsair states not over 2.9v ive seen ram running at 2.9v for extended periods of time with no problems at all. i doubt youll burn out a stick unless your pumping like 3+v's thru it.
