How much vacation are you taking from work for christmas?

I am on vacation from 12/22/05 to 1/2/05

I am using 2 days of company holiday and 6 days of paid time off that I have accumulated over the last year.

What is the vacation/time-off policy at your company?

My job is giving us a five day weekend for Christmas and a three day weekend for New Year's so I'm not going to use any of my vacation time this year. I usually like to have from Christmas until New Year's off but I don't have a lot of time saved up and I want take a vacation in the spring.

None. I used it all, with 3 of my friends getting married out of state. 1 in Texas, 1 in New York, and 1 in Utah. I'm in Wisconsin.

None. We get the 24th off, though. I'll just let it all accrue, and then I'll go to Hawaii or Tahiti at some point.

from 12/24/04 'till 1/4/05.. Should be pretty cool - I've never had this much time off at any job before.

Typically we get off the days the NYSE is closed. Since Christmas and New Years are on Saturday this year, we get Christmas Eve off but get a floating holiday for New Years (so I still work New Years Eve).

I may take a day off, but nothing much really planned...

Paid company holiday on Friday and I have one vacation day left so I am taking Monday off. Not sure about what day we get off for New Years now since the indecisive morons gave me a noncommittal answer when I asked.

I have been on vacation since December 15th and will not have to go back to work until January 3rd.
I'm using up the remaining 7 days of vacation, I get 2 holidays and 4 floating holidays.
Since I travelled quite a bit this year, I did not get to use up my vacation. Therefore, I've just decided to take the time off. Of course, most of my customer and plant contacts are going on vacation as well.

Gives me alot of time to work on my house.

It is going to be very difficult to work come new year . 🙁

The uni where I work closes at noon tomorrow... I took tomorrow off so technically just 4 hours. 🙂 Plus I get next week off since the uni is closed (but I still get paid, yay for being on salary!)
