Usually when we go on a work related trips, the company I work for gets a car airport service for me or the group.

Its suppose to be a like a town car or close to it, but twice the car service company didnt have such a car available and i was picked up in a limo. The whole limo just for me...

Anyways i tipped the guy 20 bucks for a 20 minute ride to the airport. the company I work for is paying for the service already, and 20 bucks i can easily put as a tip expense.

Do you think that was cool?

probably 10 dollars, but couple of years ago, I called a cab company to take me to NY, Laguardia, and it costed me 35$ plus i gave the driver a 20$ and that was my own money.

you don't have to tip the limo driver. The bill will come back and ask you how much you would like to tip. Tell your manager or bills payable manager how the service was and they'll tip the driver and company accordingly.

Agreed, spend company money just the same way you would have spent your money in that same scenario. If you spend money very easily then I'd try and tighten up a little. This does not mean being cheap inconveniently, do what is convenient but don't "waste" company money.

I tip the NYC cab drivers based on their service. If they actually take the time to pop the trunk and get my luggage out for me, then I'll give a nice tip. If they just pop the trunk and not even get out of the cab...then I'll give a mediocre tip.

What's the 'normal/average' rate to tip the limo driver for a 20-30 min drive?

I don't see the bill, they pick up and take me to the airport and pick me back up when i come back. I just write down on my expense report the tips from cab drivers, to hotel stuff etc etc.
