so I know that eating after a workout is important (carbs, protein, etc). However, how much do you need? After I jog, I'm usually not hungry (because I had a light meal before). Should I be eating just for the sake of eating to get the carbs and nutrients? If so, how much is needed?

I'd like a detailed answer to this question too. I was always under the assumption that you need to eat after a workout if you weight train, to build and maintain muscle mass. If you are doing cardio, I'm not so sure if you need to eat and if you do eat then it's probably just going to be 1 serving of protein to maintain your muscle mass. That's just a guess. I'm generally never hungry after a workout either. The only time I can recall being hungry is if i do some heavy weight training and then it'll make me hungry 30 mins after a workout.
