I want to sell my complete computer locally. What price should I advertise it at? Here's the specs:

XP1700+
512 MB Crucial memory
Hercules Fortissimo 2 soundcard
LiteOn 24X CD burner
Maxtor 40 GB harddrive (Linux installed)
Leadtek Winfast A250 LE (TI4200 128 MB)
MSI K7T Turbo2 (VIA KT133A chipset) mobo
300 W case with window mods
19" Envision monitor
mouse and keyboard
#2 pencil

$300-$400 max.

Might want to pony up for a copy of Windows, it will make it more attractive. Linux desktops for most users are no good for anything but email/browsing.

I was figuring that if a novice computer user buys the PC they won't mind the Linux if all they'll do is surf the net but they'll probably want it for less coz they couldn't care less what specs the computer has. A techie would appreciate it more but they would know exactly what the PC is worth.

The pencil has been sharpened a couple of times. The eraser is still intact.

Price checks are against the rules. I don't know why exactly but rules are rules. Might want to blank the thread and ask for deletion before the mods get frisky...

hmm...might be interested...what kind of writing speed have you been able to get with that pencil? Is the warranty transferrable?
