$4+, you, sir, are my hero.
$5+, you made my night.

If you're a dick, AND cheap, we talk massive amounts of shit on you the whole night. Next time around, we're drawing straws as to who gets your order. We take our sweet ass time getting there.

If you're a dick, AND cheap, on multiple occasions, your house is getting egged. Don't be an ass to people who know where you live.

So according my normal 20%+ rule on pizza delivery you'd get around about 6 bucks on the OPs order. How does this change how my ticket is treated? Will you guys push it through or will you let it sit in the hotbox? Will it be your first stop? My guess is yes.

I'm just trying to demonstrate how a couple extra bucks will get you special treatment. And I'm a cheap MOFO, but I tip well and I live well because of it.

You sound like a conceited jackass, imo. If getting your pizza 5 minuets earlier or not having to wait an extra few minutes means you 'live well' thats just fucking sad.

I do $3 a pie, but I think I need to raise that. The cost of living has increased a lot since I started $3. I think I'll start doing $4 now.

So be it. I enjoy walking up to a crowded bar where everybody is complaining, standing there for 10 minutes and i just walk up and get my drink. I enjoy being told my pizza will be 1.5 hours and have it show up in 20 minutes.

I want to be served and I like to be served and I'm willing to spend a few extra bucks for that treatment. The scene from "Pretty Girl" said it best - "I need to see a lot more ass kissing going on here."

That's the entire purpose behind tipping and if you don't get that then well, you've never experienced it.

I don't like to tip the pizza delivery guy according to a percent. At a restaurant, the percent is ok because the more food you order, the more work the waitress has to do. The pizza guy drives out to your house for 1 pizza or 50 pizzas, it doesn't make a difference to him.

I always get the same order, it comes out to like $11.37 I believe.

I give him a 20 and ask for a $5 back, and my food always arrives much quicker than quoted and it's always hot.

<3 my pizza man.

*chuckle*

there's a reason your pizza isn't at your door in 20 minutes. Some thought should be put into why.

Funny how that works isn't it? :D

I don't tip as much for delivery as I do for table-service ... 10% is normal for a large order ($50-$75) but I'll give as much as 25% for a small one & its funny how my food always arrives super-fast & hot.

Edit: For example I ordered some pasta & a salad from my local place tonight for myself ... tab came to $14.85 so I gave the guy a $20 & asked for $1 back.

Hour late, or just an hour to show up? If you call on a busy night there is only so fast they can make pizzas.

Now only if you would stop repeating yourself and bragging.

Dude, it's like 3 bucks more on a tip. Yeah, that's a whole lot of disposable income.

Back in 1990 or so pizza wasn't much cheaper than now. The Dominoes guys usually got rounded dollar amounts (a 19.75 pizza netted them .25)

For them $2-3 tips were awesome. They would take about 5-10x the orders as we would in a night (we delivered chinese food) but we'd always out bank them. Our average tip was $2. A good tip was $3...we'd get a few large ones every night.

I have always tipped $5 minimum to the delivery drivers.
