I leave at ~6:25am and get home between 5:30 and 6pm, so 11 1/2 hours would be about average. My driving time is approximately 35 minutes total (15 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening).

I leave at 6 am and get home at 8 am the next day. I work 24 hour shifts as a firefighter/paramedic.....and have about a 30-45 minute commute. (And been doing it for almost 28 years)

Depends on the schedule. Some people work four 10 hour shifts a week whereas others work five 8 hour shifts a week.

I don't have a job, so I don't vote. :D

Leave at 7:00, at work at 8:25, leave work at 5:05 home at 6:30. That encompasses 90% of workdays.

Usually about 13 hours. I leave for a 1000-2200 shift at 0930, get to work at 0945. Check stock on the squad and get ready for the day. Usually get called back to base at 2145, end of day restock and squad break down, BS with our dispatcher for a while and I'm usually out by 2215 and home at around 2230. Sometimes I get home a little later and sometimes a little earlier. I worked an eight hour shift this past Friday and it felt really weird to only work eight hours.
