I would check flea-bay, your local paper, etc

The problem with Anandtechers is that they know about the Dell, Staples, and other crazy deals. You also have the PC builder crowd.
I would definetly list whether or not its the Pent IV 1.8A or reg verison. You should state its fully license XP pro or not, that would sweeten the deal for some. State the if the 3 year warranty is transferrable.

Your parts with current price its going for in FS/FT:

P4 1.8 ghz ($100) (if its not a 1.8A knock off $20)
Geforce3 ($70)
40gb WD internal 7200rpm ($60)
120gb external Martor usb 2.0 hd ($120)
256mb RDRAM ($100)
DVD-rom ($25)
Cendyne(Lite-on) 24x cdrw ($25)
SB Live ($10)
Network and modem card. ($10)
Winxp pro ($100)

Total = $620, I wouldnt pay anything more than that for your rig, plus you can tweak the cmos at all!

I'd also say around $600 is a fair price (the Maxtor and XPPro shines there); I myself never sell my older parts, since can't stand how little they are worth after a year or so :)

Sorry my bad , if he is close friend then I would sell under the current market price of used computers compared to the paper listings or fleabay, like a 50 to 75 dollars discount. So you can show him he is getting a good deal.

You should give it to him for $400 or $500, depending on how good a friend he is.;)
