Laptop, Celeron 900, windows xp home, MS Office XP Professional 12.1 svga, 1 yr warranty, Norton antivirus 2002, the carrying case and Lan Card, used for about 6-8 months?

This guy I know here in my hometown is selling it, he said he was looking to get $780 for it, but I am not sure if I want to pay that much? what do you all think?

Thanks,

Sounds like a great deal to me. I just sold a C433 Pavillion n3110 for $600.00 and I had dozens of calls from people looking to buy it after I had sold it.

thanks for everyone for the advice, apperantly the warranty is transferable, but I am not worried about that, also the hd is an 8-10 giger, so I'm thinking of offering him about 700 flat.

he said he was looking to get $780 for it

I'd lowball him and say $500. That just me. If he really wants top dollar he should go to Ebay with it.

Lowballing is all part of the business. Everyone does it. If you don't want to be lowballed sell it on Ebay, plain and simple.
