How much rust consumption would be considered poisonous?

I know that a rusty nail can cause gangrene, but I was just curious of consuming it is the same. Not talking massive quantities of it, but I occassionally cook using a wok, and it does rust, so I'm sure I eat some....

Well if you haven't died yet, then I suppose it is okay!

It would probably be more of an irritant than anything. Everything is a poison, just depends on the dose, but it is not like you are eating mounds of the stuff.

Edit:
Quick google for a MDS says that the LD50 is 10 g/kg (10ppt) which would be a significant amount and probably not near the trace amount you would get from cooking in a wok.

Iron is good for you! Especially during your period 😛

Shouldn't be a problem, cast iron skillets do this all the time!
