I have an fitness exam coming up in the next week or so, involving push up, sit up, pull up and a 2 mile run. Should I take a couple of days off right before the exam to let myself rest up? Or I'm better off just working away like my regular routine?

My weekly routine is, 1.5mile run in the morning, 1.5mile more at night, 100 sit up/push up. Then every other day I lift some weight (bench, squat, pull-up, etc)

Just curious what the "exam" is for?

In my military experience where we take similar tests, the best general advice is to do your last muscular workout 3 days before the test, and then your last cardio 2 days before the test, nothing to strenuous. Take off the day before, and you should be good.

If it's an APFT (Air force doesn't do the 2-mile anymore), take a couple of days off before the test. Get extra sleep and eat small, frequent, balanced meals with slightly more complex carbs than you normally would the last day before the test.
