512mb PC-133 w/ an Athlon XP 2100+

I'm thinking about 1gb, but I dont know how much more I want to invest in an outdated standard like PC-133

1 Gig 2x512 of GeIL pc3200 ULD in my main box
1 gig 2x512 of kingston pc2700 (samsung chips) sitting on a shelf that i need to unload.
512 megs of pc133 in my kids box.

In my sig. 1gig PC3200 😀

A don't know about the difference between 512 and 1g. When I upgraded my ram, I also upgraded from a Celery 1.2 on an i815 mobo with 512mb ram to a Athlon XP 2400+ on a Asus A7N8X Deluxe, so of course it was faster and better.

I guess I'll add to this one, 512 in my laptop, 1GB DDR (PC2700) in my main pc, upgraded from 768MB PC133.

Actually, first I went down to 512MB but then scored a deal on another 512 and am running in Dual DDR mode on my Nforce2 board.

To be honest, didn't noticed any difference between 512 / 768 / 1024 in swap usage, as most of my apps run in the 256-384MB area. I guess some games might use more but I'm not big on games lately. I'll probably split the ram and build a second upgraded box w/ the other 512DDR. But for now I can enjoy the bliss of 1GB.

1gig Crucial PC2100 DDR 2.5

I noticed a huge difference between 512 and 1024 when loading numerous files into memory for games/photoshop/etc, but no difference otherwise
