How much PPD Difference? i7 2.8 vs 4 GHz

So I just built a new HTPC. The mAtx mobo doesn't overclock at all though. Total fail at planning on my part. Not sure how much I could get either way with this small case and low airflow, but I was at least hoping somewhere in the 3Ghz range, 4Ghz if lucky.

Think its worth the RMA and buying new board?

is there a software OC program that will work with your motherboard?

it's not ideal, but it can help if not doing a radical OC

The MSI X58M X58 micro-ATX board will overclock, I'm pretty sure. I think it's around $160.

I ended up getting this board. It's going to be a pain to put it all together again. The heat sink was so hard to install. It's a low profile one with no finger room.
