How much performance gain? (Ram)

Like what blodhi74 is getting at;

The RAM will only go as fast as the CPU Link or Bus speed. Your motherboard must also support the Bus speed of the CPU.

Yeap. The Intel 3.2C requires at least PC3200 Ram to handle the 800MHz bus.

isn't it a different thing ? the 800 mhz bus you're talking about is from the cpu to NB right ?

It is also from the North Bridge to RAM too. It would be kind of pointless then to have dual channel when you have a north bridge that can only access half the bandwidth.

I'd guess 2-7%, maybe a little more and it will depend on what apps you're running. Intel procs like to be fed lots of bandwidth and running your RAM in sync with the fsb will make it happy. And as long as you're buying, double what you have now unless it's already a gig.
